Today's blog features Kate, one of my recent senior photography clients. Read more about the Tracy Caffrey Photography senior portrait experience in her words to learn what it's really like to work with me.
Leading up to my senior session I was a little nervous. I wasn’t sure which types of clothes would look best in pictures or what to wear. Luckily, Tracy had a whole guide on different types of clothes and what would look good on different body types and in photos.
I also had no clue where I wanted to go or what kind of vibe I wanted so Tracy suggested a place where there were some urban vibes but also some nature. This is one of the things I love most about working with Tracy. She is there for every step along the way to help new seniors and parents figure out what to do and how to do it.
My favorite part of my senior session was taking pictures with my sister and dog. Tracy had such good poses but my sister and I got to play around with some pose ideas we had thought of too. The pictures turned out just how we hoped they would.
One moment of my senior pictures that stood out to me was when Tracy found these really pretty yellow and white flowers that matched perfectly with my outfit. The sun was also just at the right angle shining on my hair and the pictures were stunning, Tracy is so good at finding spots that are like hidden gems.
When I saw my reveal slide show, I felt ecstatic. I even had trouble picking my favorites for my senior album because I just loved them all so much. My pictures turned out better than I could have ever hoped for and I was so happy. My parents were thrilled with the pictures and also loved them.
I would recommend Tracy to seniors because not only are her photos amazing, but she makes you feel amazing when you are in front of the camera. I know lots of people who aren’t normally comfortable in front of the camera but Tracy is your biggest cheerleader, makes you feel so confident and makes the experience so much fun.

Q&A with Kate, Rosemount High School Senior
What are you looking forward to your senior year?
For my senior year I am looking forward to all the opportunities and different classes. I am also just excited to try new things and enjoy my last year of high school.
What advice do you have for underclassmen?
My advice for underclassmen would be to take every opportunity you get. If you are even a tiny bit interested in it, do it and you’ll create some of your most cherished memories.
Through out your schooling, which teacher made the most impact on you and why? What subject/grade did they teach and at which school?
The teacher that made the most impact on me during high school was Mrs. Krebs. I had her for inver-prep my sophomore year and also had her for in college 11 in my junior year at Rosemount High School. One thing I loved about her is that she genuinely cares about her students and really try’s to get to know them and talk to everyone every day. Mrs. Krebs is also an amazing teacher and makes sure that if someone is struggling she meets them half way and is very understanding of outstanding circumstances.
How did you hear about the Senior Crew? Why did you apply? How do you feel about the experience you've had?
I heard about Senior Crew through instagram and some of my sister’s friends. I decided to apply to Tracy’s Senior Crew because I had seen many of her pictures and I loved her style and I had heard really positive things. I have had the best time being in Tracy’s Senior Crew. Having so many different and fun photo opportunities is amazing and Tracy always makes it the best time.
What do your future plans after graduation include?
After graduation I will be attending Winona State University and majoring in Elementary Education.
